Anti-bovine CD172a monoclonal antibody (clone DH59B)

CD172a, also know as, Signal regulatory protein alpha, is a member of the signal-regulatory protein (SIRP) family, and also belongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily. SIRPα is predominantly expressed on myeloid and neuronal cells and its activation has been implicated in regulation of different cellular functions such as adhesion, migration, growth and differentiation. The interaction of CD47 and SIRPα results in inhibition of phagocytosis by macrophages through tyrosine phosphatase activation and inhibition of myosin accumulation.

The Bovine CD172a monoclonal antibody, clone DH59B, was produced in cell culture medium containing a supplement that replaces serum, clarified by filtration through a 0.2 micrometer filter.
