CD209, also known as DC-SIGN, is exclusively expressed on dendritic cells in tissues, as well as on in vitro induced monocyte-derived-dendritic cells (MoDC). It facilitates dendritic cell migration to peripheral tissues and local lymph nodes by binding with CD102 expressed on vascular and lymphatic endothelium. CD209 also plays an important role inactivating T cells by binding with CD50.

 

The Bovine CD209 monoclonal antibody, clone 209MD26A, was produced in RPMI 1640 containing a supplement that replaces serum, clarified by filtration through a 0.2 micrometer filter.
