PSD-93/Chapsyn-110 (also known as Channel-associated protein of synapse-110, Postsynaptic density protein PSD-93, Disks large homolog 2 and Dlg2) is a member of the membrane-associated guanylate kinase (MAGUK) family. The protein contains a guanylate kinase-like domain, 3 PDZ domains and 1 SH3 domain. Chapsyn110 binds to NMDA receptor subunits and Shaker K+ channel subunits to aid in forming a multiprotein scaffold which clusters receptors, ion channels, cytoskeletal protiens and other cell signaling proteins. In this manner, it plays a key role in postsynaptic targeting. It is found in brain in neuronal cells and located at the cell synapse, postsynaptic cell membrane and postsynaptic density. Chapsyn110 has been implicated in chronic pain, bilateral retinoblastoma and schizophrenia.
