Datasheet SDSTryptic Soy Agar is a general purpose, non selective media providing enough nutrients for cultivation of a wide range of microorganisms from different material.

Directions for use | For the preparation of 1 liter culture media: 1. Suspend 40 g of Tryptic Soy Agar in 1 liter of distilled or demineralized water. 2. Heat to boiling to dissolve the medium completely. 3. Sterilize by autoclaving at 121 °C for 15 minutes. The appearance of the medium is clear yellowish-brown. 4. Cool to 45 - 50 °C. If you wish to prepare blood agar using Tryptic Soy Agar, pour 5 % sterile and defibrinated blood before serving on the Petri plates. 5. Mix well before pouring into sterile Petri plates. 6. Leave to gel with the lid slightly open. |
