SpCrossreactivityThe human CGRP12-P is quite conserved in various species: canine (100%), bovine, sheep, rat , chicken, (92%), frog and pig (85%). The antibody has also detected hamster CGRP (2). There are just 2 aa change between the human CGRP1 and CGRP2. However, no significant sequence homology is detected with amylin, calcitonin or adrenomedullin. Antibody cross-reactivity in various species has not been studied. The CGRP12-P control peptide, because of its low mol. Wt (<3 kDa), is not suitable for Western.
