Human Nasal wash
The nose has 3 main functions: olfaction, regulation of airflow and filtration. The nose is therefore both the major sensory gateway and also plays a role in immunity.
The nose is a natural barrier to micro-organisms, dust, pollutants and allergens for example. This natural barrier defends itself either by clogging or by secreting. Nose cleaning concerns the entire population, from infants to the elderly. It helps to eliminate secretions and improve the functioning of the respiratory mucosa of the nasal cavity. It can be indicated in post-operative situations but also in the treatment of all nasal-sinusal pathologies. Nasal lavage is now the first-line treatment for nasal-sinusal pathologies and post-operative care.
Nasal wash is therefore used in 2 cases: to treat pathologies or to prevent the aggravation or occurrence of certain pathologies.
