64th Annual Meeting of the Italian Cancer Society

SIC (Italian Cancer Society), founded in 1952, is the longest-lived national association dedicated to cancer research in Italy. It counts over 800 members, with a strong component of young researchers and students as affiliates. will have as focus:  “Science-driven approaches to achieve early diagnosis of cancer and to overcome therapy resistance”.

Experts in the field of pre-clinical and clinical oncology coming from all over the world will meet in Milan to discuss and present novel insights into both basic molecular mechanisms of cancer occurrence and progression as well as translational studies aimed at validating early diagnostic and/or predictive biomarkers. 

SIC focuses on experimental, translational and clinical oncology, helping to develop different aspects of these fields, by stimulating interactions between preclinical and clinical investigators and propelling the transfer of knowledge from bench to the bedside. The Society particularly encourages national cancer research in Italy, by supporting young researchers.
