Disease:
Malignant melanoma
Origin:
This cell line was isolated using cells obtained from the thoracic duct of a patient with widespread and rapidly progressing malignant melanoma.
Species:
Homo sapiens, human Malignant melanoma; skin; derived from metastatic site: lymphatic system Melanoma Spherical, clusters in suspension, dark color pellet after centrifugation. Male, Caucasian, 29 years of age. AddexBio-formulated EMEM (C0005-01) + 10% FBS Cultures can be maintained by addition or replacement of fresh medium. Establish new cultures at 1 x 10^5 cells/mL and maintain at 2 x 10^5 cells/mL. Allow the flask to sit at room temperature (or at 37°C). Culture at 5% CO2, 37°C. Renew medium once every 2 to 3 days depending on cell density.
