Cell Culture contamination prevention
Microbial contamination is a common problem for many cell and molecular biology laboratories. The presence of microorganisms in cell cultures has a tremendous impact on the success, scientific significance, safety, and costs of work in research and industry. Indiscriminate use of antibiotics on already contaminated cell cultures or to compensate for questionable experiments and/or suboptimal cell culture facilities do not represent a solution to the problem. Quite the contrary: due to development of antibiotics resistance, non-responsible use of these culture supplements increases the contamination risk.
We offer solutions for reliable cell culture contamination prevention against microbial growth in incubators, water baths, cell cultures and culture media.
Please beware that using contamination preventive agents should not replace good aseptic practices. Clean and disinfect surfaces, laminar flow cabinets, incubators, water baths and equipment frequently.
