Expression Systems offers insect cell lines adapted to serum-free suspension culture in either ESF 921 or ESF AF. The availability of pre-adapted cells saves significant time and expense associated with the adaptation of cultures.
Sf9 Insect Cells
The Sf9 insect cell line is a clonal isolate derived from the parental Spodoptera frugiperda cell line IPLB-Sf-21-AE. cells are adapted for suspension culture in ESF 921 or ESF AF and are available as a frozen vial or suspension culture. cells are commonly used to produce recombinant baculoviral stocks and to produce recombinant proteins.
Sf21 Insect Cells
The Sf21 insect cell line (IPLB-Sf-21-AE) is derived from ovarian cells of Spodoptera frugiperda. cells are adapted for suspension culture in ESF 921 are available as a frozen vial or suspension culture.
Tni Insect Cells
The Tni insect cell line is derived from ovarian cells isolated from Trichoplusia ni. or ESF AF and are available as a frozen vial or suspension culture.
S2 Insect Cells
The S2 insect cell line is derived from a primary culture of late stage (20-24 hours old) Drosophila melanogaster embryos. cells are adapted for suspension culture in ESF 921 and are available as a frozen vial.
